The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust (CST) welcomes the statement by Chelsea FC following the decision on Thursday 21 December from the European Court of Justice.

The CST’s position on a European Super League is clear – we oppose any attempt to exit existing sporting structures. This position was communicated to all bidders during the sale process in 2022 and was understood and accepted by the consortium led by Mr Boehly.

The announcement yesterday only further strengthens the argument for an independent regulator in English football.
