Big Stamford Bridge Sleep Out 2022

Chelsea Supporters’ Trust with the co-operation of Chelsea Football Club are delighted  to announce that we will be holding another sleep out.
Saturday, March 26th 2022 at 7.00pm.

Thankfully, with restrictions easing, we will be able to have it at Stamford Bridge !

The event is to raise funds for our neighbours at Stoll (formerly Sir Oswald Stoll Foundation) who do such fantastic work for homeless veterans. The funds raised are especially vital during these Covid times as charities are having so many extra issues to deal with.

We would like to invite as many Chelsea supporters to join us by signing up and raising sponsorship.

To join us at Stamford Bridge, participants will need to :

  • Be over 18 years old
  • Pledge to raise at least £50 in sponsorship
  • Comply with any Covid restrictions in place at the time.

N.B This event will be at the mercy of whatever COVID restrictions are in place. This could mean the ability to physically sleepout at Stamford Bridge is cancelled. The Chelsea Supporter’s Trust, Stoll and Chelsea FC cannot take responsibility for any out of pocket expenses that you may occur due to cancellation.

Virtual Sleep Out

If you cannot make it in person, or you are joining in with those under 18, then maybe you could have a virtual sleep out in your own surroundings. This could be in your garden, living room floor, or anywhere it is safe to do so. You could always use The Shed (not that one).

More about Stoll
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust have teamed up with Stoll to support vulnerable Veterans with homes and support services.

For over 100 years, Stoll has proudly been working with Veterans who are experiencing homelessness, issues around mental including PTSD, supporting Veterans who have a physical injury from armed service, access to skills and training as they transition into civilian life, and a comprehensive health and wellbeing programme to support the different needs and ages of our Veterans.

Over the last 2 years Stoll has been greatly impacted by the pandemic both in the way the organisation delivered services and activities but also with the loss of fundraised income to support the work Stoll does with beneficiaries. Throughout the pandemic we supported Veterans who were shielding or self-isolating due to underlying health conditions, provided support and activities online and made sure our older and disabled had help with domiciliary care, shopping, attending medical appointments and having daily contact to make sure they weren’t socially isolated. Stoll is really proud of our relationship with the Chelsea Supporters Trust and the funds raised from the Big Stamford Bridge Sleepout will really make a difference to Stoll Veterans and enable us to continue to provide vital support to vulnerable Veterans.
