On behalf of the Chelsea Supporters Trust and Stoll we would like to say a huge thank you to all of you that took part and donated to the Sleep Out last week.
As a result of your fantastic efforts and generosity we can now confirm that we have raised over £16,000. This means that Stoll have benefited more from your generosity this year compared to last time.
When one considers everything else that is going on in the world and the difficulties that many people are facing, that is a fantastic achievement.
We are in touch with Chelsea and hope to be able to make a formal presentation at the ground very soon.
This money will make a huge difference to Stoll and the lives of the veterans they help.
We have received the following message from Richard Gammage, Chief Executive of Stoll.
‘I want to thank the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust for supporting Stoll with the amazing Big Virtual Stamford Bridge Sleep Out fundraising event on Saturday night. Chelsea supporters have been so generous to Stoll and the money raised will go directly into supporting our nation’s veterans with homes and support services.
At Stoll we provide a wide range of support services to allow veterans to live an independent life. We support veterans who have mental health issues, including PTSD and we work with individuals who have addiction issues around alcohol, gambling and hoarding. Stoll provides an extensive Health and Wellbeing programme which allows veterans to gain new skills for employment or to take part in activities that support their physical and mental health. Stoll also makes sure that our older veterans can live independently, supporting them with domiciliary care, attending medical appointments and making sure they don’t feel socially isolated and lonely.
Great to see such wonderful support from you all for those who have given so much.’
For those that slept out, we hope you enjoyed the interaction via Twitter, especially Chidge’s Bedtime stories !
We would also like to thank the various ex-players for their videos of support.
We hope that circumstances mean that our next sleep out will be back at our beloved Stamford Bridge.
For anybody that would like to donate, the giving page is still open. Click here for the donation page.
Thank you,
Chelsea Supporters’ Trust and Stoll
