According to reports, Chelsea Football Club are in final negotiations with an online casino and betting company to become the new primary shirt sponsors on an initial one year deal.
On Friday 16th June, the Chelsea Supporters’ Trust issued an urgent question to its membership to ascertain views and opinions on this matter.
Over 77% of our voting members strongly disagree or disagree with the use of an online casino and betting company as the primary shirt sponsor.
The Chelsea Supporters’ Trust does not believe that it is in the best interests of our members for Chelsea Football Club to associate with an online casino and betting company as the primary shirt sponsor.
We have today written to Chelsea FC on this issue and would welcome further dialogue on this subject.
