On Monday December 23rd members of the CST board were out in west London helping two local charities.
The first port of call for Debs Coady, Gillian Bromfield, Mark Meehan, Tim Rolls and Cliff Auger was the Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank warehouse in Hammersmith.
The CST had recently received a grant of £5,000 from the health lottery and, in conjunction with the foodbank, a delivery was arranged of much needed supplies to be dropped off on Monday morning (see pic) After a guided tour of the foodbank premises and a quick cup of tea, the group moved on, literally over the road, to the Barons Court Project (BCP) for homeless people where we dropped off 40 bags of clothes that had been so kindly donated by Chelsea supporters.
The Wrap up Warm campaign has now finished for 2024 and Chelsea Supporters Trust are pleased to have worked closely with Chelsea Foundation and Chelsea FC on this campaign throughout December. We look forward to the campaign returning next year.
Following the success of his latest book, Chelsea The First Time, Tim Rolls had pledged to donate the proceeds of sales to the foodbank and BCP. Arrangements were made with both organisations for this to take place.
Huge thanks to the wonderful Chelsea supporters who have helped us with donations over the last year.
The CST look forward to working with and supporting both local charities in the future.
